How to make more time in a day

while running a thriving business?

Million dollar question, isn’t it?

I might have just the answer for that.

You see, in the world where everyone wants MORE, I’m all about choosing LESS – less distractions, less on my plate, less stress and overwhelm, less hustle and wondering around and trying to figure what works.

Instead I follow my mentors advices and use proven methods to not waste any time, get work done effectively and being able to enjoy afternoon tea on a balcony with my family.

Which path to choose?

We all have our unique way of reaching goals. How quick and efficient we can achieve what we most desire depends on one thing only – our mindset. It’s a tricky thing, but once you look deeper, you will notice that our mind leads the way. So it is only up to you what to choose – rich or wealthy.

The other day I had a lady on the phone and we where chatting about mindset and how it affects pretty much everything we do. Our discussion became quite heated (in a calm way 😉 ) when we disagreed on 2 words – She was sure that RICH is the same a WEALTHY, however I have always believed that they have a very different meaning.  I have thought that being wealthy means that a person is rich in all areas in life, weather that would be finances, health, love or relationships. To prove me wrong she said to Google it, because we of course know that Google has all the answers. So I did. And really, the answer was: an abundance of valuable possessions or money. But this was not what I have believed in and refused to be sucked in to the poor mindset. So we agreed to disagree.

But this conversation got me thinking  and wanting to learn more about the two and how thriving to gain one or the other affects our lives. O boy! I did not know where I was getting myself in to! There is so much out there on this subject, every second person has an opinion on it, every guru has talked about it…

Turns out we where both wrong..

From the endless information that I have gathered it seems that being Wealthy has more to do with financial freedom. That means you have created sustainability for your wealth. You’ve either saved enough that you don’t need to work every day to sustain your lifestyle or you’ve built up enough residual, passive income sources that you’re getting paid in your sleep.

While being Rich can last for a hot second and vanish without trace.

At the end of my research what I have gathered put in simple words is this: Wealth is how long a person can survive without any new cash inflow. It’s not about what you can buy. It’s about your ability to sustain your existence without working.

And that got me thinking what I want for my life. But then I realized that I have already been taking the path to wealth, because everything I do is with one thing in mind: I want to have time freedom running my business and not spending 24/7 doing that! All am Im doing now for my self and for my clients is to help them create that wealth they have dream of. It’s is not at all about becoming rich, but it is becoming free (financially and time-wise) and live the life on your own terms.

Declutter your home for well deserved clarity

The space where we spend most of our time affects our mood, energy, productivity, focus etc.

Before I dive in to the importance of our personal space, I wanted to mention that I am personally very passioned about helping more women to become more comfortable and confident, by decluttering home and mind so they could become, basically unstoppable. And yes, I believe that our mess in our space (home, office) does affect our ability to think clearly, to work efficiently, with productivity and ability to focus on what is important. So, yes, it does affect our whole LIFE!

In the title I added well deserved, because we need to realise that we are worthy and deserving of all the good things that came, are coming and will come in to our lives and that would include, clarity, peace of mind, relaxation  or what ever that is for you. 

1. How organized space can take you to the next level?

Let me repeat myself to emphasize how important this is: your space and that would be the physical place where you spend most of the time, reflects on your life. It could be your home, your work place, your office.

The environment where you are creating your dream life is supper important and therefore in that place should only be things that make you happy, lifts you up, helps you get centred and focused. And once you have that, you will flow with ease, inspiration will come effortlessly which will make you calmer, not worried, more grounded and peaceful. And that is everything!

But don’t forget that you need to find what works for you. I always say that not everything is for everyone, you need to find what works for you. And that is the beauty of it, because we are all so unique in our dreams, needs and abilities.

Now when there is so much information hitting us on every corner, there are so many distractions out there, but most importantly in here (our mind), it doesn’t let us to focus. 

Surely the mess on your working desk doesn’t help you concentrate. When you are moving the papers around, trying to find that one where you wrote that important thing so you would not forget it. It wastes your time and energy. That precious time and energy that you could spend on creating your dream life instead of reorganising your desk trying to get some work done. This is how you loose your productivity, your efficiency. 

2. What is clutter and how it keeps you stuck?

Clutter is something that keeps us stuck in a way that it doesn’t let the energy change in your home, because all of those things are not serving you any more, but they are still there. And if something doesn’t serve you, it serves someone or something else. But you want, or should want, is to surround yourself with things that makes you feel better, are there when you need them, serves their purpose, makes your life easier.

Its like with people. If you want to grow and evolve, you can’t surround yourself with people that constantly moan and bring you down. The same is with your space. If something is bothering you – take it away, give it to someone who will appreciate it, give it to charity, recycle. There are so many options!

But for some the problem is not giving stuff away as much as it is to knowing which stuff to give away. What I have noticed is that people can’t define what is the clutter for them. For each and everyone of us it might be a different thing.

While there are some items that are quite obviously a clutter, like expired medicine, broken plates, dead batteries, there are also those that we keep for what ever reason and might not realise that they are still things that serves us no purpose what so ever.

If whenever you are in doubt I have a 5 question solution for you.

By answering them you will get very clear very quickly on what stuff needs to leave your space.

3. How Cleared space effects you, your work, your productivity.

Once I declutter, I have immediate sense of relief and freedom. I have more space to breathe and create. My advice to you is to declutter first, before you dive in to organising, reorganising, tidying up, cleaning. 

 

“The less stuff we have, the less distractions are taking our attention away, which means we can focus on what is important to us.”

You may say that while you are clearing, organizing, tidying up you will not get any work done. This is very true. But when you do get to work, you will be more productive than ever. Because there won’t be a thing that takes our focus away!

You probably have heard of a saying: Where focus goes, energy flows. So make yourself a distraction free place where you can focus on what is important.

Please don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that you should take everything out of your office and sit in a white box so there is nothing else you can focus on except your computer screen to be the most productive.

If your work space is important to you for creating that life that you want, it’s important that you feel what ever you want to feel in there.

Weather that would be super productivity, calmness, maybe relaxation or motivation. Choose what works for you, experiment, try to get rid of couple of things today that no longer serve their purpose and see how the energy shifts.

But I have to say that while organizing and decluttering has a very immediate effect on your mood, there are more things that can help you lead you to a place of ease, peace and clarity. And here I would just like to mention some of them that I have found very useful myself.

4. Other great practices to clear your mind

You have probably hear of meditation and it’s endless benefits. 

Also I can suggest to keep yourself away from internet for 1 day a week to have that time for yourself, your family, because you need to regenerate to dive in the next day with full force. #unplugyoursef

Writing is another great way to clear your head and get to know yourself better and finally, movement. Your brain needs oxigen, your posture will highly benefit from a bike ride, yoga or other way in which you choose to move you body.

While we are all so unique, there are proven methods to help us get what we want, need and long for. Don’t underestimate your power and ability to get where you need to be. When ever you feel stuck, use decluttering as a peace making practice to instantly shift energy and feel more free.

Be selfish, make this Valentine’s day about you!

This post is about LOVE - love to the most important person in your life: Yourself!

Although historically Valentine’s day is couples love fest, I believe that we have to love ourselves first to then share it with others. So this year on 14.02. make it about you, treat yourself and dive in to self-care, self-awareness, self- “anything you want it to be” to bring your full potential to the world.

We can only serve our true purpose when bringing our true self to the floor. Yes, I know – easier said than done! When you are sitting by the work desk in your 9 to 5 job feeling miserable, you are most definitely not offer the work your truth and full potential to make it the world you want to see. That being said, don’t leave your job without having plan B. I have done it and had to learn the hard way that it is not a good feeling to constantly rely on someone for financial support while dreaming of my own business and not having the funds to move forward with it.

But I want you to start little by little, by building your self-esteem and start to believe that you CAN! Because you most definitely are capable of it.

Let’s start self-awareness journey with this Valentine’s day and take purposeful action to shift in the right direction.

Here are just couple of totally free, but priceless practices to be kind, loving and gentle to yourself starting this Valentine’s day and continuing for the rest of your life.

1. Embrace yourself and let yourself be loved.

Your are a goddess and deserving of all the love that comes your way – so embrace it! Accept love and kindness when it’s offered. You’re worth it! It might be hard to open up and invite kindness (I am talking form experience), however once you surrender, huge weight lifts from your shoulders and you literally change you vibration, which invites more love in to your life. And this is definitely something we need – to build our lives on solid love-filled foundation. So when someone gives you a compliment, simply say, “Thank you.” Don’t resort to false modesty, or talk yourself out of it. When someone offers you help, take it, because you deserve to make your life easier.

2. Let yourself feel all the emotions.

Weather it’s pain, sadness, joy or happiness, let yourself feel all of the emotions to the fullest. Now, when our lives are filled by perfect Instagram posts with tropical beaches and smiley faces, it is harder than ever to allow yourself to just be in the moment and feel what ever needs to be felt. If you are happy, don’t hide it just to make someone else dissatisfied or jealous of your joy. If you feel sad, let yourself cry, feel it and let it go. Yes, sometimes, us women, need to be strong and hold the forth, but know when that time is over and you can go back to your roots to be fragile, vulnerable and feminine.

3. Surround yourself with right people.

I understand that we can’t choose our family, but we can for sure choose our friends. It might sound harsh, but you might need to clear out your “friends” list. Take your time to go all in into each and every relationship that you call “Friendship”. Relationships have a powerful effect on our well-being. You want to surrender yourself with people who lift you up, support you, love you, in which presence you don’t have to pretend (quite down your joy, for example) and that are there when you need them.

You want to make sure to have a strong support system that you can rely and count on. Seek out the people who build you up, and minimize contact with those who bring you down.

4. Deal with your Inner Critic.

As harsh as it is, we can be our worst critics. This for sure leaves devastating effect on our well-being. One thing is when someone else criticizes you, because that can be very easy to explain: The way people treat you is a reflection of them as human beings, it has nothing to do with you. If you keep that in mind, the outer critic can not hurt you. 

However when you treat yourself badly by self-doubt, discouragement, comparison, it ruins your high vibration, brings your energy level down and you end up far from being alined with our whole self. Be mindful of the things you say to yourself when no one else is listening. Once that inner Critic shows up, notice it and let it go. Creating this awareness is the first step to making self love your default state. Meditation is one of the practices that can help you quite your inner critic and restore your well-being.   

Remember the airplane cabin crew reminding to put your oxygen mask first in case of pressure loss? It’s so you can help others. Love is our oxygen and without it we can’t spread it and create magic in the world.

It is my wish to you to embrace yourself and let love in for this Valentine’s day and further, because you are deserving and worthy.

If you have read my previous blogs and are familiar with my work, you have noticed what emphasis I put on our personal space and how it affect us. I have spoken over and over again about how our organized or disorganized physical space impacts our mood, energy, thoughts, stress level and many many more things, in one (or three) words, our overall well being.

If you have not realised that before, I would like to open your eyes on this subject in hopes that you can highly improve your financial situation by getting more organized, because our personal space reflects on our life, like does our thoughts and actions, so let’s make it count and create that life we want!

Let me elaborate and introduce you to couple things that does affect your financial situation. To help you deal with those nasty habits that block money from coming in, I have added also solution to every situation.

1. MISPLACING

It can be quite frustrating when you need something, but can’t find it, because you or someone else have misplaced it. It could be done unintentionally because of rush, ignorance or maybe things get misplaced, because they don’t have a designated place! I can tell you that if a thing is not in its place, it could be anywhere. But most importantly you loose time searching, which leads to all kinds of problems – frustration, mood changes, nothing important gets done etc, etc. This is why it is so important to designate places for what is important, because it is what will make your life easier, more convenient, less stressful. Surely you can agree that misplacing things you need can highly affect your mood and the overall energy. Meaning, if you are operation in low vibration, your will get exactly that in return. Don’t think for a second that being angry, disappointed, mad, frustrated will make cash flow in to your wallet.

2. MESS

You are constantly wasting your precious time while looking for things that you need in that moment. That precious time and energy that you could spend on creating that life of your dreams. But instead you reorganise your mess every time you need to find something. The old saying that Time is Money could not be more relevant here. Your time is valuable and you should treat it accordingly. Respect your time and it will respect you. There is no such thing as too little hours in a day. There is just the right amount. The question is, how wisely are we using it?

3. MULTITASKING

When your are trying to do everything at the same time, the truth is, that nothing meaningful gets done. Here I can speak form my experience, because I am a multitasker. Not that it is something bad. In fact it can work in your favour many times, however when it comes to work, it’s not the best solution. Sure, you can paint your nails and talk on the phone while watching TV, but listening to the podcast while trying to focus on your to-do list will not work. I had to learn how to control this habit and make it work in my favour. And I have to say that it is easier said than done. If you are a multitasker like me, embrace it, instead of trying to quite this special power. By that I mean, make the most out of it in the situation where it is absolutely necessary, but when it comes to your work, try and focus on one thing at a time. Because once we loose focus and get distracted it might not be as easy to go back to that state of inspiration and effortless work flow. Believe me, I have been there (many times).

multitasking solution Prioritise your tasks, make a plan and stick to it. Once you organise your day according to your plan and respect it, you will be surprised how much can be done in short amount of time with respect to your priorities. Leave other tasks aside while you are completing one.

Us women like to multitask, but by trying to do everything at the same time, will only lead you to burn-out and frustration. And eventually the quality of your work will lower and money flow will suffer.

4. STRESS

This nasty little inner peace wrecker doesn’t let us be in the moment, in the “now”. Sometimes it is so quite and almost invisible that we barely notice that it is even there. That is until we our eyelid starts to shake, our heart pumps too fast and we can’t not shake that pen or leg. If our personal space distracts us and highly affects our focus, it also affects our productivity and efficiency and eventually the money flow. So get to work and make your work space neat and distraction free. If that alone is not enough and you would like profound, long lasting results no matter the environment you are in, there is a great way to make that happen.

#20minutesdailymediationchallenge is something I highly recumbent doing. I know that you might think that you don’t have time for this, your might be too busy, in that case, you should meditate for and hour daily. Don’t rush in to it, move slowly, but do it consistently, this is where magic happens.

5. CLUTTER

If you are living within clutter it means you are either purchasing things you do not need, or you are not treating the things you have with the respect they deserve. Then tell me, why should the universe, or whoever you believe in, trust you with more money, when you don’t respect the money that you have been given. You have to realise that more money brings more responsibility, which means that in order to earn that money flow, start to respect and appreciate what you already have. Be grateful and thankful for what has been given to you until now and every time you buy something new, buy it with respect.

I want you to take a bid deep breath and take a moment to think through what you have just read. It is important that we look at our physical space with clear head, because only then we see things for what they are. You don’t have to feel like you have already lost this battle. All the solutions mentioned above are doable and believe me when I say that only you have that power, skill set and talent to make your personal space bring out the goddess you are.

Do you feel like your brain is too full of random stuff and you have no mental clarity, you can’t gather your thoughts because you’re constantly worried, ending up in this mental fog when you need your brain the most and too much clutter keeps you from thinking straight? Then this article will be of great use to you. Keep reading to find the right solution to declutter your mind, get back to your HAPPY place and stay there.

If you think that all the great genus minds don’t have your problems, think again. Surely each an every one of them have had an indecisive moments, confusing thoughts, inability to focus and worries that they can’t explain.

It simply happens!

But don’t get fooled, there is a solution. In fact, mental clarity is something you can gain fairly quickly. Use the tips bellow whenever you need to think your way out of a problem, make a compelling argument or stop the noise in your head to gain the clarity.

1. MEDITATE

Meditation is the closest way I have found to mental clarity, peace of mind and less stress – it simply works wonders. You have probably heard about its endless benefits, like sleep improvement, pain and blood pressure reduction, stress relief and so much more. For more benefits click here.

Stress is something that doesn’t allow us to be in the moment. If our mind is constantly wondering around, worrying about future or past, we are not able to think clearly. That causes a mental clutter that leaves us hopeless, intense and worried. When your thoughts circle around your problems, you don’t leave yourself with a lot of space for much else. Plus when your mind is full with clutter it works slower – your brain can only hold that much. No clarity possible there!

So what could be the solution to declutter that worried, foggy mind of yours? You guest it! Meditation, of course.

I can tell you from my personal experience that it creates this magical feeling of enough (enough of what you have and who you are), therefore you think (stress) less about what others think, what you don’t have enough of, future events that we are not able to predict or control and past events that are simply in the past.

Before you say that this is not for you, try it for 2 weeks. Even if you don’t like it, it is boring, you don’t have time… etc. I hear you, because I though the same – I could not sit still for 10 minutes. I could do it for a day or 2 and then I would quit, because there would be more important things to do. But let me tell you that nothing, nothing is more important that you! And that is a fact! Find that time for yourself and make it happen. Don’t wait until tomorrow to start. Start today and make it your priority to gain mental clarity. It is only 20 minutes, but those 20 minutes can change your life and only for better.

Being busy is relative. I’m sure you have time to scroll through Instagram, check your Facebook feeds and moan to your friend how unfair the world is. Imagine how life changing it would be if you would replace couple of these activities with some positive guided meditation to lift your mood, put you on a higher vibration and clear your head?

Yes.

And you should! Which leads us to the next point.

2. UNPLUG

We spend so much time on social media, on the phone, by the computer… We miss being present with someone sitting next to us. I believe that meaningful sit-down with a friend over a tea is more soul filling than commenting on someones Facebook post. Don’t get me wrong, there are connections that are important for our businesses and social lives and we need to pamper them. There is nothing wrong with saying thank you to a flattering comment or emailing an old friend. The problem is that we don’t get real work done, can’t focus on what is important because we constantly get distracted by those noise beeps on our phones. And I have to say that too much external stimuli clog up our minds. We get so cough up in the digital world that we forget how important human to human interactions can be.

That being said, I challenge you to drop all your electronic devices (phone, TV, computer, etc.) for 1 day a week to make meaningful connection with your loved ones or build new connections in a social gathering or activity of your choice. Treat yourself with no-distraction day and others with undivided attention to build long-lasting relationships.

Believe me when I say that the world won’t stop without your input, and you’ll be just fine without texting/calling/tweeting anyone for a day.

There is another important point I would like to mention, and that is making habits for yourself to stay focused, on point and respected, like not replying as soon as you get that beep on your phone with a new message. A great way to respect your time is to set aside specific time to answer any messages, emails and call people back. Like that you will be able to concentrate on your work and not get distracted by that beep every time you try to focus.

Yes, we all have commitments and obligations, but remember that YOU ARE IMPORTANT. You matter and everyone else can survive without you always being there. Focus on what is truly important to you and say no to the rest.

3. WRITE

Let me introduce you to couple of ways how writing can help you to clear your head. During our busy days we often don’t realise how much stuff we carry around in our heads trying to remember all those important tasks that we have made for ourselves to complete. And at the end of the day we get frustrated if we have forgotten something important. That is because we can’t remember everything and we should’t have to. The need to remember our to-do list takes our precious space and leaves very little room for clear thinking.

To clear your head of all those to-do tasks, make a list of reminders, unfinished business, assignments, meetings etc. for the day. Then read through your list and highlight the essential so you can focus on priority tasks. Like that you will do them, finish them and you will not think about other tasks until it’s their turn. And the bet part is that you can literally forget about them, because they have ben written down, so when you complete your essential tasks you can move on to others.

If you spend 5 minutes in the morning to write down you to-do list for the day, you will be able to free up your memory and focus on what needs to be done. This is a great relief and allows you to put your mental energy on what you need to accomplish. 

Writing exercise:

Take a pen and paper and for next 10 minutes write down whatever thoughts you are having. Write down all silly, ridiculous, funny and sad ones – everything that comes in to your mind. Notice thoughts popping in and write them down. Once you finish with one thought notice the next one and write it down and so on. If you are not sure how to start, close your eyes and wait for a moment. Your mind is not used to silence (not thinking), so all you have to do is to listen to your own thoughts. There is one rule to this exercise though: once you have written down one thought, go to the next one, don’t get caught up in it, don’t run off with its story, just write it down, let it go and move on.

After completing this exercise your will see more clearly what sorts of random thoughts your mind generates every day so you can become more self-aware. You will see very clearly how your mind jumps from topic to topic without a rest and is rarely not thinking. Let me remind here that meditation is the single most effective way to silence the mental chatter so you can have a mind with NO thoughts for a while to rest your brain and prepare it for efficient, meaningful, focused work.

4. MOVE

A great way for all physical and mental rejuvenation is movement. But if you add deep breathing and hydration, you are on your way to feel better than ever in no time.

Working long hours by the computer can have a damaging effect not only for your posture, eyes and overall physical health, but also on your mind. 

When you feel stuck, find a way to reboot yourself, find what works for you, weather that would be a walk, bike ride or yoga. Movement is important for your body and mind. Even if it is just for 10 minutes a day. Take that time for yourself. Make it your goal to stand up and stretch after a certain amount of time working – it will not only help your body to not have aches, but will let you focus on your tasks more clearly.

Since human body consist of up to 60 % of water, you can imagine how important it is for our overall well being. Staying hydrated is vital for your optimal brain function, so don’t forget to drink when you are thirsty. One of the best reminders is to keep a water bottle on your desk or where you can see it as an effortless reminder.

Another important thing for your mind to be in top shape is food – clean, real food. The goal here is to not get too hungry and avoid eating until you can’t move anymore to avoid mental fog.

I am a true believer that each person is unique and have their own solutions to their specific problems – one is not for all. Each and every one of us have to find what works best and keep taking the path towards mental clarity.

Ah..this time of the year, when we go a little mad looking for presents, stressing to find the right one for everyone and not to mention staying on the budget. Although Christmas is such a magical time, it comes with a baggage of unnecessary craziness in our minds, homes and lives. 

I have a solution for you!

Take my word for it when I say that decluttering your home can highly benefit your post-Christmas common sense. 

For this year’s Christmas gifts you will use what you already have. So let’s get started so you could create original, personalised and unforgettable gifts for your loved ones, while clearing your space and mind to prepare for the celebration of your life. 

Handmade gifts from heart is what to go for this Christmas.

If you look closely around your house, You will be surprised at how many items you have lying around that you’ve never used.  Items that, by using them, will create more space in your home and save you money. 

If you are a DIY person, you most definitely have many artsy and craftsy things around the house and it will not be a problem to create something out of nothing. However, if you only like to make things from time to time, you may need some ideas.

Here are a few simple examples to get you started:

 

1.Empty cardboard boxes (+ fancy gift paper). They are great for storing things, however if you have many different sizes, they can be finally put to great use. If you think that they are too labeled and not appropriate to put gifts inside, label them yourself with Recycling logo and wrap a gift paper around. To make even more nature friendly, you can use newspapers as a gift wrapping paper, they look amazing!

2.Empty glass jars. I’m sure they are pilling up in your storage space. So put them to good use and make some yummy snacks for your friends and family for Christmas. Internet is full of great ideas, what ever you think your friends will like better – honey nuts, jam, fermented veggies… It could be literally anything! To make these gifts more personal add as little note with recipe and good wishes or even your own poem. 

3.Paper. This great invention can be used in so many ways that I cant even begging to count them. Coloured paper can be used to create personalised gift cards and who cares if they don’t look as fancy as the one you can buy in shop, they are from heart and that is what matters most. We have already found a good use to newspaper in first point. Gift wrapping papers from birthdays and previous years can still be put in a good use – make christmas decorations from them (snowflakes, snowballs under the tree, re-wrap gifts or anything else that come in your mind. Again, get inspired in the endless world wide web. 

 

>> Remember that thoughts that you have put into creating these gifts is what matters and you friends will appreciate your effort, no doubt!

If you pay attention, you will find so many things around your house that you are able to recycle and put in a good use so they don’t take your precious space and can be recycled.

Create a plan to move towards your dream

I have come to experience that Planning is so freeing! Honestly! Things always work in my favour if I plan, because it keeps me focused on the end result and gives me clear directions of actions I need to take. But how to know where to start and what should be included so you could be assured  that it will work in your favour?

Planning might sound boring, because it is your time that you will have to spend by the desk with pen and paper rather than paddle boarding or scuba diving. I hear ya when you say: I have tried that, it is too much work! Here I have to say that planning is worth all your time and energy, because after creating a roadmap you will only have to follow it. So the more work you put in, the less effort it will take to pull through.

I am talking form experience when I say that if you do not have a plan you will not reach your goal. You do not need to plan every single tiniest step, however you have to highlight some bullet points to keep yourself on track and focused on the end result. But don’t take my word for it, hear what Benjamin Franklin has said: 

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” Benjamin Franklin

And I so do not want that for you! So to get started let me explain how planning works. To make a plan you simply have to answer 4 questions: 

1. What is to be done? 

2. When is it to be done? 

3. How it is to be done?

4. Who is going to do it?

    1. And that is it! By answering those 4 questions as detailed as possible you will be a milestone closer to your goal. This template is so unique that it works with anything that you want to achieve, wether that would be to organise your kitchen or learn a new language. 

Let’s go through an example together:

Let’s say your work desk is a mess and you need to sort it out before you drown in inefficiency and debt. Your work desk is something really important to keep organized, because it is very obvious that a mess on your desk may highly affect your work quality and productivity. Have a look and notice what it on that desk, does it all belong there? If not, than it is time to organise it away. Here we have already answered the first question: what is to be done, meaning organising your work desk. Now you need to decide when it is to be done: here you will have to evaluate what is possible. Keep in mind that a desk is relatively small place, so it should not take too long, unless you have piles of papers until the ceiling that needs to be sorted out. So wether it would be an hour or a day, set that time frame and stick to it. Now you will have to decide how it is to be done – so, for example, you can take everything away from the desk, clean it completely and put back only the things that belongs there, the rest should go where it belongs.  Here I hope you have designated places for all your items.* Another option is to take away one thing at a time by finding the right place for each of it which will eventually leave you will only necessary stuff on your work desk. 

If you don’t have designated places for all your items it’s is time to evaluate your belongings and possibly get rid of some of them to clear your space from all unnecessary.

I truly believe that planning helps us take a step in the right direction. Don’t worry if you don’t know every single details, the first and most important step is to actually take a step and trust the process  – it will get you exactly where you need to be!

Every one of us at some point in our lives have felt stuck, helpless and confused. While there are many things you can do to change that situation, they all take quite a time to see the first results. However there are many things you can do right now to change your mood by starting to change energy in you house.

Continue reading if you want to know how to turn negative in to positive. If you will pay attention to these suggestions and use them (or some of them) wisely in your home, you will notice immediate energy shift. In other words, you will feel calmer, more relaxed, because you will make the bad energy go out the window (literally). 

Here we go:

    1. Take a look around and notice of things that you surround yourself with makes you feel good? Maybe there is something that just drives you crazy every time you look at it? It might be a vase that was a gift years ago or painting that has a wrong colour palette. Every item in you house has it’s specific energy. You can tell if that energy suits you if it makes you feel good. Depending on that certain things can either give you power, strength and motivation or block it. You should not keep anything in house that does not give you a good feeling. Even if you can’t explain what is it with that vase that you do not find attractive, if it does make you happy, it is not right for you. 
    2. How often do you open the windows to let the fresh air in? The breeze that goes trough rooms changes the energy very quickly and not only gives you more oxygen, but also clears the space even if you don’t fiscally see it. Take a big deep breath in and let the fresh air surround you.

3. Do you have dust on things where you can’t clean them of easily enough? High shelfs are the best dust and stuck energy collectors. If you are someone who really hates to clean dust (I hear you, because I am one of them too), there can be several solutions to make your life easier. For example, you can use decorative boxes, choose more closed cabinets instead of the open ones and use drawers. In other words, your worst enemy is open shelfs with too many things, because it just takes ages to clean each and every peace.

4. There is one thing that all have us have had or have in our homes and it is broken, damaged dishes. These are also one of those things that like to stick to negative energy, so if it is permanently broken  – get rid of it. You also should not keep damaged vases, plates, glasses, clocks and other stuff. Take them out of your house and see how energy switches. 

5.   Essential oils can be a great help to change the mood, clear smells, calm the mind and switch to positive energy. Diffuser here can be of great use, otherwise you can use oils to your skin. Citrus, rosemary, lavender, eucalyptus, teeter oils will be your friends to get in to better mood.

6. My personal favourite things of all is to move furniture around. If your space allows that, it is one of the greatest changes you can physically make to completely get rid of all negative energy, because by moving things around, you don’t let them get stuck in one place. That doesn’t allow energy to get stuck there either. 

P.S. This works wonders with kids. They love to play around and by moving their furniture, you will create a completely new playground and make them so much more excited. 

There are other things that you can use to change the energy in your home if you are in to them, like crystals. Some of them are specially used to clear out negative energy. For example, BLACK TOURMALINE is a very powerful  stone that protects against negativity of all kinds, ROSE QUARTZ replaces negative energy with Positive. Choosing to put them next to your electric appliances you will nicely balance the energy. Other things to brighten up your space you could use are bells. As the sound vibrations disperse blocked energy, the sweet chimes work to uplift the fresh energy. 

Even if you don’t think that your house has a negative energy, it is worth to use one or more of my suggestions to clear your space anyways, because sometimes we get so busy in our lives, that we do not pay attention to things we don’t see.  We assume they don’t affect us and not knowingly we let them take over. Only once we see the shift in positive direction, we realise how bad it actually was before.  

I hope that my suggestions will help you to clear your space from that negative energy that inevitably accumulates in our homes.
